PD Square: A Day Bad & Good @ Sketching!

I remember it was a Monday!! Just after a nice weekend I went for a sketching class in the college.
The class started with some practice of sketching different products. After sometime me and my group was given a helmet for sketching it. And to top it all I was sitting in the worst angle possible to draw that helmet. I was on the rear quarter view of the helmet and at one moment, had a feeling that it is just impossible to make it!!
With the negative attitude i started off to sketch.. I tried drawing it in every possible way.. started from the top, from the bottom, with a curve, with a line!! NO.. nothing worked out!! I was getting frustrated.. more and more.. it was becoming impossible for me to concentrate. This pic will give the finest illustration that i was not able to work in the desired fashion!!

I was getting all kind of shapes other than the helmet.. This was going on till half of the day had passed.. Finally took a break.. Went down had some snacks and refreshed my mind..

I came back and again started working on it, right from scratch... A new sheet, new mind..
Started making the egg shape of the helmet, drew some curves, some straight lines.. and yesss.. I was able to visualise it ... It was looking similar to helmet.. not totally but started developing more.. with full concentration and enthu.. i made it.. I guessed that my good time had started for the day.. I was getting it perfectly as I wanted it.. And then the final rendering.. some shadows and highlights.. absolutely looking real!! I was also not able to believe the change in the day..
And i finally got a rendered sketch of helmet like this...
